Environmental Management

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has developed and implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) to reinforce environmental programs. The EMS outlines a series of guidelines, policies, procedures and processes that address environmental impacts in day-to-day business activities.

Office of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability (OECS)

The Office of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability (OECS) is the Office of the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) responsible for ensuring that planning, development, and ongoing maintenance at BWI Marshall and Martin State Airports are conducted in a way that protects the environment and minimizes impacts to natural resources.
