Runway 10-28 Rehabilitation Project

Beginning July 22 through October 8, Runway 10-28 at BWI Marshall will be closed for rehabilitation. The project includes rehabilitation of the full length of Runway 10-28, rehabilitation of the Runway 10-28/15R-33L intersection, and replacement of runway lighting with modern LED systems. BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport will remain fully operational throughout construction. Commercial passenger, cargo, military, and general aviation operations will continue using the airport’s remaining runways. Beginning August 4, rehabilitation of the intersection of Runway 10-28 and Runway 15R-33L requires both runways to be temporarily closed during scheduled overnight construction periods. Outside of these scheduled overnight closures, Runway 15R-33L will remain fully operational.
