Call the BWI Airport Operations Center immediately at 410-859-7018 in the event of any fuel spill and hazardous material situation, regardless of size. If necessary the BWI Fire and Rescue Department may be called directly at 410-859-7222.
Call the following agencies immediately, but no later than two (2) hours after the detection of a spill:
- MDE: 866-MDE-GOTO (866-633-4686)
- National Response Center:
800-424-8802
*The NRC operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Tenants must report the time of the discharge, location of discharge, type of facility or vehicle involved, and the type and quantity of fuel/oil and/or hazardous material spilled.
Report:
The tenant must send a spill report to MDE within 10 working days after the removal and remediation work has been completed.
MTN
Contact the Airport Manager or designated representative at 410-862-8826 (Alfred Pollard) immediately upon discovery of any discharge.
The Airport Manager will call MDE and the Coast Guard with the appropriate information including time and location of spill, material spilled, and other pertinent information.
If necessary the Maryland Air National Guard Fire Department can be reached at 410-918-6210.
Report:
