BWI Marshall Airport takes pride in collaborating with local nonprofit organizations to enhance public awareness about their important work. BWI Marshall Airport has dedicated space throughout the airport terminal to display publicity panels highlighting their missions. Nonprofit organizations throughout the Maryland and Washington D.C. region are invited to submit the online application (link below) to be considered for this program.
All entries must be original in concept, design and execution and may not violate U.S. copyright laws. Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image or publicity that was created by anyone other than your organization is in violation of the program rules and will not be accepted.
Entries must promote the organization only, rather than a specific program or campaign and may not solicit donations. No other product or organization can be shown in or on the publicity panels.
The panels may not promote a political or controversial agenda or recruit membership for any institution or cause. The MDOT Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) will make the final decision regarding the suitability of the artwork. While it is not the intent to censor, inappropriate messaging will not be permitted.
Under the Maryland Solicitations Act, charitable organizations soliciting in Maryland generally must file documents with the Office of the Secretary of State and provide an annual update. Charities must register prior to the commencement of soliciting donations. Proof of registration with the State of Maryland or proof of that your organization exemption (note: this is not sales tax exemption) To be eligible for participation in the Community Partners Program, your organization must provide proof that it is a registered charity with the State of Maryland OR proof that it is exempt from this requirement. All selections are determined by the MAA. Artwork will be displayed on designated columns throughout the terminal for a minimum of six (6) months.
If your organization has previously participated in the Community Partners Program, you may apply again, but preference may be given to applicants that have not participated in the program.
Each selected organization must provide one (1) publicity panel that is 22″ W x 28″ H printed on poster quality paper. (Artwork is designed and printed at the expense of the organization.)
Program participants recognize and acknowledge that the approved panels may be subject to damage or other modifications and may have to be removed or relocated. If damaged or modified, the posters will have to be replaced at the sole cost of the organization.
The chosen posters may be used by MAA for promotional purposes, including, but not limited to, the BWI Marshall Airport website and social media. Images will include attribution wherever possible.
Approved posters cannot be withdrawn before the end of the stated exhibit period.
